The Last Hunters is a contemporary portrait of one of the last surviving fishing communities in Britain.
The book tells the stories of the Cromer crab fishermen and their families in their own words accompanied by black and white photographs throughout. This is a compelling account of a community in danger - a group of stubborn, proud, independent men who rarely open up to outsiders.
The book has just won the Jarrolds East Anglia book of the year and has been short listed for the New Angle Prize for Literature.
The publishers are Full-Circle Editions, headed by Liz Calder formally of Bloomsbury and Virago Press. They have a number of artists, writers, and painters they represent in beautifully produced collectible books.
