I’m a photographer of dancers and fishermen, landscapes and dark interiors, anything really, as long as it looks interesting.
For more than ten years now I’ve been involved in a study of ‘Barlife’ any place where alcohol and people mix. All life is played out in this theatre where people make their entrances and exits, strut, pose, laugh, cry and fight. A place you come to lose yourself or find others.
It’s a mission not without problems, not least of which is a punch in the mouth if you have misjudged a situation. But the upside is you can get a decent drink while you are working.
I’ve had various exhibitions of my work the last one on Barlife at Hull International Photography Gallery which ran for three months between November to January 2016.
